Dane Barry

Dane Barry has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Dane started their career in 2010 at the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA, where they initially worked as a summer skate camp counselor and later became a skate lesson instructor. Eventually, they worked their way up to becoming a Site Supervisor, responsible for managing up to 100 kids and a dozen staff members.

In 2017, Dane joined Surf Ride Boardshop as a Sales Associate, utilizing their extensive knowledge in the skateboarding world to assist customers in finding the perfect skateboards and clothing. Dane also took on additional responsibilities such as store and staff management, cashier duties, skate equipment assembly, and providing customer assistance on the sales floor. After two years, they transitioned into the role of a Buyer, further enhancing their skills in the industry.

In 2020, Dane joined Highline Distribution as a DTC Support staff, providing assistance and support for the company's distribution operations. Dane served this role for two years until 2022.

Currently, Dane is working as a Social Media Producer at Nixon, a position they started in 2022.

Dane Barry completed their Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies at California State University San Marcos in 2018.
