Eric Hester is a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at NIZO since July 2022, with prior experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Wageningen University & Research and a PhD Candidate at Radboud University. Hester's research expertise encompasses metagenomics, microbial ecology, microbiology, biogeochemistry, plant-microbe interactions, and metabolomics. A research associate at Rohwer Lab, Hester focused on the microbial ecology of coral and algal bacterial communities. Eric Hester holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Radboud University, an M.S. in Bioinformatics from San Diego State University, and a B.S. in Microbiology from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
