Jochen Effey serves as the Site Manager at NIZO since December 2024, overseeing the processing center, site operations, production, and QESH. Previously, Jochen held multiple key roles at Upfield from July 2018 to November 2024, including R&D Lead in prototyping, pilot plants, and cheese, as well as R&D Portfolio Leader for creams and Global Project Leader for plant butter and melanges. Jochen’s earlier experience at Unilever from April 2001 to June 2018 involved various positions such as R&D Global Project Leader for melanges, Group Leader, and Operations Manager, focusing on harmonizing R&D practices and overseeing resource management. Jochen earned a Dipl.-Ing. degree in process engineering from Technische Universität Clausthal between 1992 and 1997.
