Patrick Janssen is a scientist with extensive experience in fermentation, specializing in biodiversity and mixed cultures. Patrick has worked at NIZO since 2005, where Patrick currently holds the title of Scientist Fermentation and Research Specialist. Prior to NIZO, Patrick worked at TI Food and Nutrition and Kluyver Centre for Industrial Fermentation. Patrick's expertise includes combinatorial screenings, high throughput techniques, volatile analysis, flowcytometry, and comparative metabolomics of lactic acid bacteria. Patrick holds a BSc in HLO Biotechnology from HAN University of Applied Sciences.
