Peter de Jong is a Principal Scientist in Food Processing at NIZO, where responsibilities include initiating research projects for the food industry and overseeing long-term competence development programs. Previously, Peter held roles as Division Manager Processing & Safety, Group Leader Computer Applications, and Project Manager, contributing to advancements in food processing technologies. Additionally, Peter is a Professor of Sustainable Dairy and Food Processing at Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences and Director of Processing for Circular Agriculture at the Institute for Sustainable Process Technology, focusing on sustainable agri-food systems. With prior experience in business development and project leadership, Peter has a strong background in chemical engineering, holding a PhD from Delft University of Technology and further education in leadership at INSEAD.
