The New Jersey EMS Task Force's mission is to provide New Jersey with a highly trained, equipped and specialized EMS resource to respond to major incidents, disasters and provide support at large-scale pre-planned events, and to be the EMS component of the state's medical surge capabilities using a well-coordinated, all-hazards approach.

The NJEMSTF is a 501c3 non-profit organization in the State of New Jersey and has more than 200 well-trained EMS providers ready to respond to man-made and natural disasters
