Will de Groot

Mr. de Groot brings over 20 year of finance and biotechnology expertise to NKGen Biotech. Prior to joining NKGen Biotech, Mr. de Groot was a Principal at a well-respected Family Office and consulted several of its entities, including RSF Management (RSF), Century City 1800 Partners (CC1800) and Endurance Partners. He supported in multiple managerial and finance aspects of RSF, CC1800 and Endurance Partners, including direct investment, sourcing, evaluation, and sale of investments. Mr. de Groot is still affiliated with RSF as an advisor. Mr. de Groot also established an investment fund focused on memory care/assisted living. Mr. de Groot was previously a Partner at a Boston-based Venture Capital Firm investing over $750 M in the biotechnology and healthcare technology spaces. Mr. de Groot spent the early part of his career in regulatory and commercial executive positions at Novartis, GSK and Millennium Pharmaceuticals/Takeda. Mr. de Groot is a graduate of La Salle University and holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Mr. de Groot has guest lectured on the subject of venture investing and entrepreneurship at the University of California at Los Angeles, Cal State Los Angeles, Boston University and the University of Chicago.
