Michael Yong

Michael Yong is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in strategy, mergers, and acquisitions across various industries. Currently serving as Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Group Strategy and M&A at NKT since November 2021, Michael also holds a position as a Member of the Board of Directors at Walsin Energy Cable Systems Co. Ltd. Previously, Michael was the Commercial Director of Large Power Transformers and Services at Royal SMIT Transformers B.V. and held multiple senior roles at Prysmian Group, where significant acquisitions were successfully completed. Michael's career also includes board membership at Associated Cables Private Ltd. and legal experience at BSA | The Software Alliance and other organizations. Michael's educational background includes a Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School, an International MBA from IE Business School, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
