Thomas Liljenberg

Thomas Liljenberg serves as the Director of Technology Consulting at NKT in Västerås, Sweden, a position held since December 2019, where responsibilities include supporting NKT factories and enhancing R&D capabilities while providing consulting services to external clients such as ABB. Prior to this, Thomas held various leadership roles at ABB Corporate Research, including Head of Technology Consulting, overseeing a specialized team focused on providing consulting and support primarily for ABB and external organizations like NKT and Northvolt. Thomas's extensive career at ABB also encompassed managing global initiatives in conflict minerals, supply chain management, technology development for instrument transformers, and operational management for a greenfield factory in Vietnam. With a foundational academic background in Chemical Engineering from Lund University, Thomas continues to enhance expertise in strategic R&D management and innovation through ongoing studies at INSEAD and MIT.
