Joseph Kamel is an accomplished tax law professional with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. Currently serving as Chairman of the Expert Group Pillar 2 at the Ministerie van Financiën since November 2018, Joseph also holds roles as Tax Technical Advisor and Tax Inspector within the Tax and Customs Administration of The Netherlands. In addition, Joseph is a lecturer in Tax Law at multiple institutions, including Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Belastingdienst. Joseph’s professional affiliations include membership in the Dutch Association for International Tax Law and the Dutch Association of Fiscal Studies, where Joseph also serves as Secretary of the Commission Equity / Loan. Joseph’s academic credentials include a Master of Laws (LL.M.) and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Leiden University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Management from Ajman University.
