Damian Wise

Damian Wise is a seasoned professional in the field of IT development and manufacturing automation, currently serving as Senior Manager of IT Development at nLIGHT, Inc. since May 2001. With a strong focus on creating MES and SCADA automation solutions, Damian oversees teams of full stack and LabVIEW developers. Prior roles include Senior Technical Architect, where Damian designed company-wide back-end data systems and integrated production line equipment, as well as CIM Manager, managing a six-member development team to enhance manufacturing scalability and consistency. Damian's expertise also includes the integration of laser test data into a comprehensive database, improving data accessibility beyond traditional Excel spreadsheets. Prior to nLIGHT, Damian worked as a Device Engineer and Test Engineer at Cutting Edge Optronics, Inc. Damian holds a PhD in Optoelectronics from Cardiff University and a BSc in Physics with Optoelectronics from the University of Surrey.
