James Nias

James Nias has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles within finance and accounting. James has worked as the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) at nLIGHT since April 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Corporate Controller at FormFactor Inc. from June 2016 to April 2019, where they led the international accounting team and managed various financial functions for the company. Before joining FormFactor Inc., they worked at Cascade Microtech for 8 years as the Corporate Controller and Treasurer, where they were responsible for overseeing financial reporting, compliance, treasury, and other accounting functions. James started their career at KPMG, where they worked for 14 years in various roles, including Senior Manager in Audit/Advisory.

James Nias obtained a Master's Degree in Accounting and Business/Management from The University of Texas at Austin from 1989 to 1994. Additionally, they obtained certifications such as Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) - Expired from PMI in September 2005, CISA - Expired from the Information Systems Audit & Control Association in October 2001, CISSP - Expired from (ISC)² in May 2001, and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from Oregon in December 1999.
