Robert Martinsen

Robert Martinsen is the current Chief Technology Officer at nLIGHT. Robert has over 25 years of experience in the optical engineering field. Robert began their career as the Director of Optical Engineering at the Corporation for Laser Optics Research (COLOR) from 1995 to 2000. Robert then became the Director of Product Design at Novalux from 2000 to 2002. In January 2002, they became the Director of Product Development at Coherent Inc. and held that position until December 2004.

Robert Martinsen holds a Master of Science in Electrical & Ocean Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from University of Virginia. Robert also holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from State University of New York Maritime College.

They work with Michael O’connor - Vice President and General Manager for Microelectronics and Defense, Meredith Weisshaar - Vice President and General Counsel, and Joe Corso - VP, Corporate Development and IR. Robert Martinsen reports to Scott Keeney, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer.
