NLMK DanSteel – Shaping the Future of Infrastructure

Located in Frederiksværk, Denmark, NLMK DanSteel is the country’s only steel plate mill and a key player in European heavy industry. With deep historical roots and a strong presence in the local community, we employ over 500 skilled professionals, driving innovation and excellence in steel production.

With an annual capacity of over 700,000 tons of steel plates, our products are essential for shipbuilding, construction, large-scale infrastructure projects, transportation, and the offshore wind industry. A significant portion of our production is exported and shipped worldwide via sea, rail, and road.

For over 80 years, we have been at the forefront of Denmark’s industrial development—first serving the maritime sector and now playing a pivotal role in the green transition. Our steel plates help build the infrastructure that powers societies and connects nations.

At NLMK DanSteel, we don’t just make steel—we create the foundation for a more connected and sustainable world.
