Chaja Zeegers

Chaja Zeegers has extensive experience in education and journalism, currently serving as a Docent Nederlands als tweede taal at NLtraining since April 2020 and a Docent Nederlands at ROC van Flevoland since August 2020. Chaja founded Chaja Zeegers Journalistieke en Tekstproducties in 2004, working as a freelance journalist. Previous roles include teaching positions at ROC Midden Nederland and ROC van Amsterdam, along with a staff position focused on communication at Nivon from 2007 to 2017. As a historical-narrative city guide for Uurtje door je Buurtje since March 2015, Chaja combines experience in education with storytelling. Chaja's academic qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in history and Dutch teaching from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, a Master of Arts in social and economic history of migration from Leiden University, and a post-hbo-opleiding in Competent docent Nederlands als Tweede Taal from Hogeschool van Amsterdam.
