Anna Msigwa is a seasoned researcher and educator with extensive experience in hydrology and water resources management. Currently serving as a One Planet Laureate Candidate with the African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) from January 2020 to November 2024, Anna also holds a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Pretoria from April 2022 to August 2024. Previously, Anna worked as a Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer at the Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science and Technology, engaging in pedagogic training, research dissemination, and student support. Anna's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering from Ardhi University, a Master’s Degree in Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering from the Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science and Technology, and a PhD in Hydrology and Water Resources Management from Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
