Dr. Deep Makkar

Dr. Deep Makkar serves as the General Manager of NMC Healthcare, overseeing the NMC Royal MBZ City and AUH Clinic Cluster since December 2017. In this role, Dr. Makkar spearheads the growth of NMC Healthcare in Oman, managing a network that includes two hospitals, one medical center, and five luxury cosmetic clinics. Prior to this position, Dr. Makkar held the role of Head of Operations at VPS Healthcare, where responsibilities included streamlining processes and enhancing patient-centric care. Earlier experience includes significant contributions at QRG Medicare for the planning and commissioning of a new hospital, as well as roles at Primus Super Speciality Hospital and Max Healthcare that focused on market development and operational efficiency. Dr. Makkar holds an MBA in Hospital Management from IIHMR University and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Kurukshetra University.
