Umer Mushtaq

Umer Mushtaq is a Lead Electrical Engineer at Nobian, responsible for the electrical design of large CAPEX projects, including the development of electrical connection specifications for a 20MW green hydrogen electrolyzer. Previously, Umer served as a PhD Researcher at Delft University of Technology, contributing to the EASY-RES project under H2020 by developing novel control algorithms for converter-interfaced Distributed Renewable Energy Sources. Additional experience includes roles as a Senior Electrical Engineer at McDermott International Inc., where Umer worked on projects such as the ADNOC Ruwais Refinery and Baltic Chemical Complex, and as a Project Engineer at Grupo ISASTUR, overseeing project management activities. Early career experience includes a position as an Electrical Engineer at Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited, focusing on the commissioning and maintenance of power distribution networks. Umer holds Master's degrees in Sustainable Electric Power System from the University of Nottingham and Universidad de Oviedo, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.
