Shane Mitchell

Shane Mitchell, PMP, has extensive experience in bioinformatics and data science, currently serving as a Technical Project Manager and Principal Investigator at Noblis since June 2015. In this role, Shane is focused on establishing a nanopore sequencing lab and developing advanced analysis pipelines to detect unique genomic regions for organism identification in metagenomic samples. Prior experience includes a brief internship at Noblis, where a solution for visualizing complex bioinformatics data was created, and a role as Research Embryologist at the Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine, involving human sample analysis and murine embryo culture. Educational qualifications comprise a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from The Johns Hopkins University and a BA in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder, complemented by specialized certifications in Biostatistics.
