Mr. Debnarayan Bhattacharya is B. Tech (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur and B. Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry from Presidency College, Kolkata.
Mr. Bhattacharya is the Group Mentor and the Chairman of the Business Review Council (BRC) for a large number of businesses (both in India and Overseas) of the Aditya Birla Group. Mr. Bhattacharya is also the Vice-Chairman, Hindalco Industries Ltd., the Metals flagship of the Aditya Birla Group; and the Vice-Chairman, Novelis Inc., world leader in flat-rolled products and a 100% subsidiary of Hindalco. He is also Director on the Board of Vodafone Idea Ltd. He is a Member of the Board of the Indian Advisory Council, of the Schulich School of Business, Toronto, which is rated as amongst the world’s leading Business Schools.
