Albert Smit is a seasoned sports physiologist with extensive experience in supporting elite athletes and national teams across various sports, particularly in cycling and triathlon. From October 2012 to December 2014, Albert Smit served as a Sports Physiologist at InnosportLab Papendal, providing physiological services at the National Sports Center. Prior roles include embedded scientist for the Olympic triathlon team at NOC*NSF and expert consultant for track cycling, BMX, and mountain biking. As the owner of AlbertWOT from January 2015 to September 2020, Albert Smit focused on research and testing in sports medicine. Currently, responsibilities include talent coaching for paracycling at the KNWU, research as a PhD student at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam on elite tandem cycling, and conducting tests for endurance athletes at Jessica Gal Sportartsen. Albert Smit holds a Master's Degree in Human Movement Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
