When he's not kayaking down a river or chasing elk in the forest, Joel is installing fiber optics in the ground, bringing high-speed Internet to communities who share their backyards with the wild. Having moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2015 from Arizona with a toddler and his loving wife, he now calls the woods of Washougal his home.
