Jan Olaf Martin

Jan Olaf Martin is a highly experienced software engineer with a diverse background in technology and innovation. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Google since June 2019, Jan has also been a Member and Collaborator with the Node.js Foundation since April 2017. Previously, Jan held the position of Principal Software Engineer at Groupon from January 2012 to May 2019, and has experience as a Member of Technical Staff and Software Engineer focusing on web application libraries and tooling. Jan's early career includes work as a Research Assistant at the University of Paderborn, where algorithms and complexity were explored, and as a co-founder of Eureso, a start-up launched through a student entrepreneurship award. Jan studied at Paderborn University and Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, following education at Ratsgymnasium Minden.
