James Markarian

James Markarian is the Director of Licensing at Nokia, responsible for monetizing the company's IPR assets. Previously, they held positions including Senior Counsel for North America at Siemens, where they led the North American Licensing Center and significantly increased revenue from IPR assets. Earlier in their career, James worked as IP and Licensing Counsel at Refac International, and as a Senior Associate focusing on patent litigation. They have also operated their own law office, providing services in IP law and transactional matters. James is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering at Boston University and a Juris Doctor at Brooklyn Law School.
