Karsten Oberle

Karsten Oberle obtained a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) in communications engineering from the University of Applied Sciences "Fachhochschule für Technik" Mannheim, Germany, in 1998. They began their career at the Alcatel Research Center in Stuttgart the same year, later spending 17 years at Bell Labs Research and authoring over 40 papers while holding more than 20 patents. Currently, Karsten leads the Global Railway Practice within the Transportation Sales division at Nokia, focusing on expanding business in the Railway sector through innovative solutions, particularly in Cyber Security and IoT. Past roles include Program Owner for Connected Mobility and positions within the European Commission and ETSI.
