Leonel Nunes

Leonel Nunes is an experienced telecommunications professional with a career spanning over 25 years. Currently serving as a Packet Core Engineer at Truphone since January 2013, Leonel manages various Packet Core network nodes, including AAA Servers and PCRF. Prior roles at Truphone included Signalling Roaming & Interconnect Engineer and Network Interconnect Engineer, where responsibilities ranged from optimizing the SS7 signalling network to developing global interconnect solutions. Previously, Leonel worked at Sonaecom (Optimus) as a Senior Engineer and Technician, focusing on LTE network access and integration. Early career experiences include internships at Radio Marconi and MaxiTEL Telecom, where skills in SDH networks and configuration of telecommunication installations were developed. Leonel holds a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from EPPET and has furthered education at Universidade Aberta.
