Matti Åvist

Matti Åvist is a Principal Technical Leader in eMECH at Nokia, where they have been contributing since 2025. With a robust background in the telecommunications industry, they possess expertise in Product Lifecycle Management, Thermal System Design, and ANSYS. Prior to this role, Matti held positions including RF System Architect and Technical Leader in electromechanics at Nokia, as well as Senior Mechanical Designer at Sweco PIC and Mechanical Designer at PKC Group Oyj. Matti also enriched the academic community as a part-time teacher at the University of Oulu, where they guided students in CAD modeling and PDM. They hold a Master's degree in mechanical design from the University of Oulu, obtained in 2004.
