Peter Magill

Peter Magill is a seasoned professional in the field of optical subsystems and communications technology, currently serving as the Leader of Optical Subsystems Architecture at Nokia since March 2020. Prior to this role, Peter held significant positions including Vice President of Architecture at Elenion Technologies and Director of Engineering and Project Management at Coriant Advanced Technology Group. Peter's extensive experience encompasses roles at AT&T Labs as Assistant Vice President, where research focused on wireless and optical systems, and as Executive Director of Optical Systems at Lucent Technologies. Peter's career began at AT&T Bell Labs and includes academic achievements, having obtained a Ph.D. in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Dayton.
