Praveen Kumar

Praveen Kumar currently serves as the Head of Strategic Business Development for NI APAC ON at Nokia, having joined the company in August 2024. Prior to this role, Praveen held several key positions at Rakuten, including Senior Vice President and Vice President of IP transport strategy, where responsibilities included network readiness for SRv6 and 5G front haul modernization. Earlier experience includes a tenure at Nokia as Product Line Manager, developing end-to-end network architecture for Tier 1 customers, and an extensive period at Airtel, where Praveen was the Head of Network Planning, managing large-scale network architectures and modernization initiatives. Additional roles at Nortel Networks involved solution architecture and business development, focusing on packet optical transmission products. Praveen holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, and a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
