Ramsés López

Ram Samudrala is a distinguished academic currently serving as a Professor and Division Chief at the University at Buffalo since October 2014. With a research focus on computational biology, genomics, and proteomics, Ram aims to elucidate the processes that govern the structure, function, interaction, evolution, and design of proteins, small molecules, nucleic acids, and interactomes. Prior to this role, Ram held positions as an Assistant/Associate Professor at the University of Washington from January 2001 to October 2014. Ram's educational background includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Computational Biology from Stanford University, a PhD in Computational Biology from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor's degree in Computing Science and Genetics from Ohio Wesleyan University.
