Timo Viero is currently the Director of L1 Architecture & Specifications at Nokia, where they have held various leadership roles since 2019, including Chief Architect for Baseband and Cloud RAN. Prior to joining Nokia, Timo was with Nokia Siemens Networks from 2005 to 2010, serving as LTE eNB Chief Engineer and Head of Technology and Architecture. They earned a Master of Science and a Doctor of Technology in Signal and Image Processing from Tampere University of Technology between 1985 and 1996. Timo is also recognized as a Bell Labs Fellow.
