Vel Murugan has extensive experience in the energy sector, having held various engineering roles over a decade. Starting as a Desk Engineer at Operational Energy Group India Ltd. from June 2008 to March 2012, Vel then served as Control Room Engineer at M/S Simhapuri Energy Pvt Limited until March 2014. Subsequently, a role as Power Plant Engineer at Mass Group Holding Ltd. followed until October 2016, after which Vel worked at GE Power from November 2017 to August 2023, focusing on control room operations in a gas power plant with a capacity of 3000 MW. Currently, Vel is employed as a Control Room Operator at NOMAC since January 2024. Vel holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Annamalai University, completed in 2008.
