Nomad Tech delivers power electronics engineering, repair, and modernization, supporting operators and maintainers extend asset life, improve reliability, and reduce Life Cycle Cost. We specialize in traction and auxiliary converter upgrades and retrofits—including GTO-to-IGBT  and IGBT-to-new-generation IGBT upgrades. We focus on identifying equipment failure modes and, based on that, replacing critical components to mitigate failures and obsolescence. All solutions are validated on in-house power test benches and supported by full technical documentation and traceability.

Additionally, we provide and install dedicated hardware and software solutions that enable remote condition monitoring of rolling stock. By interfacing with OEM systems, communication buses (e.g., MVB, CAN, RS-485, etc.) and analogue sensors, our platform collects and transmits relevant data and integrates seamlessly with rail operations and maintenance planning—enabling predictive maintenance, reducing delays and corrective maintenance costs, and continuously improving maintenance processes through return on experience.
