Gülcan Can

Gülcan Can has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Gülcan started their career as an intern at Vardar Yazilim in 2008 and then joined Aselsan as an intern in 2009. After that, they worked at METU as a Research Assistant from 2010 to 2013, followed by a teaching assistant position at the Computer Engineering Department from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, they joined EPFL as a PhD student and worked there until 2017. During their time at EPFL, they also worked as a Research Assistant at the Idiap Research Institute from 2013 to 2018. Currently, Gülcan is employed at Nomoko as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, a role they have held since March 2018.

Gülcan Can completed their education history as follows:

- From 2013 to 2018, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne).

- Between 2010 and 2013, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Engineering from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University.

- From 2006 to 2010, Gülcan Can studied at Bilkent University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science.

- Prior to their undergraduate studies, they attended Ankara Science High School from 2002 to 2006.

In addition to their academic achievements, Gülcan Can also attained two certifications:

- In October 2020, they completed a course on Divide and Conquer, Sorting and Searching, and Randomized Algorithms from Coursera.

- In July 2012, they obtained a certification in Probabilistic Graphical Models, also from Coursera.
