Anurag Chavan

Anurag Chavan has extensive experience in model risk management and validation across prominent financial institutions. At HSBC, from October 2016 to December 2019, Anurag held multiple leadership roles, including Regional Head of Independent Model Review for EMEA, where responsibilities included overseeing multi-location teams conducting model reviews across Europe and the Middle East. Additional roles encompassed Managing Director of Model Risk Management for Wholesale & Markets, Head of Scorecard and Basel Modeling for retail and business banking, and Global Head of Stress Testing IMR, ensuring models met regulatory standards and provided effective independent challenges. Since May 2024, Anurag has been serving as the Head of Model Risk and Validation at Nordea. Anurag pursued education at JBIMS from 2000 to 2001.
