Jari Mäkelä

Jari Mäkelä is a highly experienced professional in digital banking and quality assurance, currently serving as Vice President and Head of the CoE Digital Channels at Nordea since December 2016, focusing on improving operational efficiency through automation and data-driven strategies. Prior to this role, Jari held the position of Vice President of Quality Assurance for Digital Banking at Nordea, overseeing quality for both mobile and web services. Jari's career includes significant roles at Microsoft, where responsibility encompassed software quality and data operations, and at Nokia, where leadership extended over application quality assurance and the development of innovative mobile multimedia solutions. Notably, Jari pioneered the world’s first mobile image-sharing service in 2005. Jari holds a Master of Science degree in Telecommunication Technology from Tampere University of Technology.
