John Barbour

John Barbour is a multinational finance leader with a strategic mindset and extensive experience in capital risk management and executive committees. Currently based in Copenhagen, they oversee Nordea’s Capital Risk, enhancing risk management frameworks to align with ECB standards. Previously, Barbour held key roles as Treasurer at ICBC Standard Bank Plc, Standard Bank London, and Investec Bank Plc, and played a critical role in establishing Botswana's bond market. With three decades of expertise, they have served on several boards, including Hodge Bank, where they chair the Audit Committee. Barbour holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Durham and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
