Weiyan Song

Weiyan Song is a Senior Quantitative Analyst and Model Developer at Nordea since August 2018, specializing in building IFRS9 impairment models and developing solutions for First Party Credit Fraud detection. Previously, Weiyan served as a Senior IT Developer and Data Engineer, implementing high-volume data pipelines using Scala, Spark, and other technologies. Prior experience includes a PhD researcher role at the German Aerospace Center, focusing on high-performance computing and parallel algorithms, and a PhD student at the University of Groningen, where work involved developing a multi-level solver for fluid flow problems. Weiyan's academic credentials include PhDs from both the German Aerospace Center and the University of Groningen, as well as a Master’s Degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from North China Electric Power University.
