John Djamil has an extensive background in chemistry, having completed a Diploma and a Doctor of Science in Chemistry at Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. From 2010 to 2014, they worked as a Research Associate at the same institution, focusing on the synthesis of molybdenum disulfide and coordination with external project partners. In 2016, they led a project on thermochromism at the University of Bremen and subsequently served as Team Leader of Commercial Chemists at HOYER Group until 2024, where they fostered innovation and provided regulatory expertise.
