James E. Devries

Jim DeVries serves as the Executive Vice President of Global Continuous Improvement, SCM and EHS, leading the global continuous improvement team tasked with setting productivity goals, defining key metrics, ensuring overall process consistency across the company, and leading large enterprise step-change projects.

Mr. DeVries began his Nordson career in 1985 as an engineer in the company’s Industrial Coating Systems segment. Prior to being named Executive Vice President in February 2018, Mr. DeVries was the Vice President of Global Continuous Improvement from October 2010 through February 2018. Previously, Mr. DeVries served as systems engineering manager and Vice President of Adhesive Dispensing Systems, North America and China Engineering & Operations. In 2008, he was responsible for two Nordson facilities being selected as winners in IndustryWeek magazine’s prestigious Best Plants competition. There manufacturing plants were recognized for excellence in operational improvements, agile production systems, supplier partnerships, customer focus, employee empowerment, quality systems, management practices, proactive environmental and safety practices, and manufacturing capability.
