Lars Purlund

Lars Purlund is a Board Member at Noreco. Lars has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, with a focus on asset management and corporate restructurings.

Lars began their career in 1994 as Vice President of the Singapore branch of Svenske Handelsbanken. In 2006, they became Senior Vice President of Alm. Brand, and in 2010, they became CEO & CIO of Capinordic Asset Management AB.

In 2012, Lars joined Sparinvest as Executive Vice President and Head of Fixed Income asset management. During their five years with the company, they were responsible for multiple corporate restructurings and the management of corporate bond portfolios.

In 2016, Lars became a Director of the Board for DOF ASA and Norwegian Energy Company ASA. Lars also took on the role of Chairman of Noreco Oil Denmark A/S and Noreco Petroleum Denmark A/S. In 2018, they left Norwegian Energy Company ASA to become Director of the Board for Alphacore Fonder.

Lars has also been Chairman of Monyx Fund SICAV since 2011.

Lars Purlund has a Master’s Degree in International Economics & Finance from the University of San Diego, and also did an exchange programme for their Master's degree in Int'l Business and Law at the University of Oxford. Lars also has certification from the Scandinavian Executive Institute - Danmark in Executive Board Programme INSEAD.
