John Arent

John Arent is a Senior Engineer at NORESCO, where they perform energy analysis for codes and standards development, energy audits, and retro-commissioning of existing buildings. They have assisted the state in updating the building energy efficiency code (Title 24 Part 6) across three code cycles and lead technical changes relating to performance compliance calculation procedures. John’s expertise includes energy modeling skills with tools such as EnergyPro and eQUEST, along with experience auditing office and retail facilities. They previously held the role of Senior Engineer at Architectural Energy Corporation for over a decade and began their career as a System Integration Engineer at Asyst Technologies. John is currently pursuing a BSE in Engineering from Swarthmore College and an MSME in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University.
