Thomas Buß has worked in a variety of roles in the engineering field since 2006. Thomas began their professional career as an intern at Osram Opto Semiconductors and Philips Applied Technologies. In 2007, they were an intern at Fraunhofer IPMS and a student worker at Ibsen Photonics in 2008. From 2009 to 2013, they were a PhD student at DTU Nanotech. Thomas then moved on to CryLaS GmbH as a Laser Engineer in 2013 and OCTLIGHT as a Development Engineer in 2015. Most recently, they have been a Laser Development Engineer at Norlase since 2016.
Thomas Buß received their MSc in Physics and Nanotechnology from DTU - Technical University of Denmark in 2009. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Laser Technology from Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg in 2006. In 2005, they also attended Chalmers University of Technology for Engineering Physics.
