Steven Kopp

Principal, Commercial, US at NORR

Steven serves as Principal and Commercial Studio Manager, leading multidisciplinary design teams through all phases of projects. With more than 25 years of experience, Steven has gained multi-sector design experience that includes projects for commercial, retail, industrial and academic clients. His knowledge spans complex repositioning projects, ground-up office buildings and non-profit educational facilities. Based in Philadelphia, Steven is a hands-on Principal who enjoys mentoring young design professionals. As a graduate of Temple University, he has been involved with the school’s career mentoring program for several years.

Steven’s major projects include the comprehensive facade replacement of One Montgomery Plaza and the repositioning and renovation of Makefield Crossing’s north and south campuses (totaling more than 450,000 SF). Steven was also the project leader and manager for Corporation Service Company’s new headquarters, a full-service project that involved many sustainable design initiatives. He always takes a client-centric approach to every project and strives for developing design solutions that support business objectives and long-term value and efficiencies. He has maintained several long-term client relationships during his tenure with NORR, which have been instrumental to the success of Philadelphia’s Commercial sector.

Mentorship is a strong characteristic for Steve, both in the field and on the field. While he mentors architects at work and at school, his passion to teach others extends to his son’s baseball team, where he volunteers as a coach and serves on the board of the Haddonfield Little League.
