Founded in Funchal, Madeira, NORTADA Shipmanagement LDA was established on the enduring principles of classic, hands-on ship management.

We believe in direct communication, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep-seated sense of responsibility for the vessels and, most importantly, the crews under our care. Our Portuguese base provides a solid foundation of stringent European Union operational standards and maritime tradition, ensuring a level of quality and reliability that our partners and seafarers can depend on.

Our management approach is straightforward: we focus on a select fleet, allowing us to provide an unparalleled level of oversight and support. This focused strategy ensures that every vessel operates at peak performance and that every seafarer receives the personal attention and support they deserve.

Our Mission
To provide safe, reliable, and efficient ship management services that protect our owners’ assets, safeguard the marine environment, and foster the professional growth and long-term well-being of our seafarers.

Comprehensive Management for a Superior Maritime Operation:

NORTADA provides full-scope ship management, ensuring that every aspect of our vessels’ operation is handled with the utmost professionalism and care. For our seafarers, this integrated approach translates into a safe and predictable working environment, reliable technical support, and a clear focus on career development. We manage the complexities ashore so that you can focus on your professional duties at sea.
