North American Switchgear is a family-owned business based in Cleveland, Ohio, founded by Robert Jordan in 1980. For over 40 years, we’ve been buying, selling, and repairing electrical substation equipment, with a specialty in current and out of production 480V to 15kV air and vacuum circuit breakers, switchgear, and hard to find replacement parts.

Our extensive inventory includes equipment from major manufacturers like GE, Westinghouse, Siemens, FPE, and many others. While we’re best known for our air circuit breakers, we also offer a rapidly growing selection of molded case circuit breakers and other industrial electrical components.

With one of the world’s largest inventories of legacy low and medium voltage breakers, we don’t just stock equipment, we restore it. Our on-site, state of the art service shop brings vintage and current breakers back to life. Our technicians are highly skilled in repair, retrofit, and reconditioning, and they work closely with our expert sales team to support your emergency, maintenance, spare parts, and general substation needs.
