North Bay’s community orchestra since 1977, the North Bay Symphony presents dynamic live performances that entertain, enrich, and educate all ages. Guided by its mission “to entertain, enrich and educate the community through the performance of music,” we offer full concert seasons, outreach, and education programs rooted in local culture.

Artistic Leadership: Dr. Josh Wood
Music Director Dr. Josh Wood, a conductor, hornist, and educator, brings national and international experience from Western University, Eastman School of Music, and University of Cincinnati. Previously leading Timmins Symphony, he has guest-conducted Sudbury Symphony and composed over 50 works. His vision drives artistic excellence and community connections.

2025–2026 Season
This season mixes classical masterworks, guest artists, Canadian composers, and jazz-infused programs—welcoming newcomers and veterans alike. Family events and school ties connect music to local history.
