Michael Laws brings a diverse background in fire safety and performance arts. Currently serving as Santa at Santa Claus, North Pole, and as a Santa Claus/Magician, Michael also operates as a Retired professional with the UNT System. Previously, Michael held the role of Deputy Fire Marshal with UNT System where responsibilities included reviewing life safety systems plans. Early career positions included Plans Examiner with Grand Prairie Fire Department and Fire Inspector in Grapevine, alongside a long tenure as Fire Marshal in DeSoto, overseeing fire prevention operations. Michael holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Science in Police Administration from Sul Ross State University.
