Mitchell Marcus

Mitchell Marcus is an accomplished executive and creative leader with extensive experience in the arts and cultural sectors. Currently serving as the Executive Director for Site Activation & Programming at Northcrest Developments, Mitchell oversees cultural activation efforts at the 370-acre YZD site in Toronto. Previously, as the Chief Executive Officer and Founding Artistic Director of The Musical Stage Company, the largest not-for-profit musical theatre company in Canada, Mitchell transformed the landscape of Canadian musical theatre. Additional roles include teaching theatre management at Toronto Metropolitan University and the University of Toronto, and producing high-profile events such as the Hilary Weston Writers' Trust Prize Gala. Mitchell co-founded the Luminato Festival, producing over 100 productions and commissioning new works while also contributing to community fundraising initiatives and awards in the arts. Mitchell holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts Cultural Studies from York University and is currently participating in the Stanford Impact Program for Arts Leaders.
