The North East Earth Coalition (NEEC) is a grassroots network of volunteers, local groups, and community leaders working together to protect nature, promote sustainability, and strengthen food security across our neighborhoods.

We believe real change starts at the local level — in our backyards, parks, schools, and community gardens. From pollinator-friendly planting projects and composting initiatives to cleanups, urban farming, and climate education, we help people take meaningful action for a healthier planet and stronger communities.

Based in northern New Jersey, NEEC has led projects in Paterson, Passaic, Montclair, Newark, Clifton, Bloomfield, and beyond — and our reach continues to grow through regional partnerships and community programs across the Northeast.

By connecting individuals, communities, and organizations, we’re building a movement rooted in compassion, sustainability, and hope for the future.
